A very warm welcome to your latest edition of RLTSC News – your regular members’ round-up of all the latest tennis, squash and social news.
SQUASH UPDATE:
What a way to kick off the year! Our first event, Speed Squash, was an absolute blast.
A massive congratulations to the White Team (pictured top) for taking the overall victory, and a special shout-out to Mark Foster, whose standout performance earned him a well-deserved MVP title.
The momentum didn't stop there. Our Handicap Event was a sell-out success with high-octane matches from start to finish. Nathan put in a heroic shift to reach the final, but he ran into a force of nature in Luke. Dominating the bracket from the first serve, Luke took the title with an impressive 11-7 win in the final.

RLTSC Tennis Committee member Mel Flower-Ellis said: “In 2024, my eldest daughter Abi was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumour. After major surgery, she has gone from strength to strength. Since her surgery, she has climbed mountains, sung all over the world (including our very own Xmas party) and is now taking on teacher training in a condensed year course.
She has decided to run the London Landmarks for the Brain Tumour charity with her sister.
I am running a tennis tournament on March 27, where proceeds will go to this, but anything you wish to contribute would be so appreciated."
If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate please see the link below for more information.
