TENNIS UPDATE:

Junior Performance players excel

A huge well done to some of our newest Performance Mini Red players — Rish, Bianca, Aurelia and Ana.

All four have recently attended Herts Tennis Red County trial sessions and have absolutely excelled. We’ve received some fantastic feedback from the Head of Herts Junior County Tennis, which is a brilliant recognition of their hard work, attitude and potential.

They’re definitely four players to keep an eye on in the future!

Tennis School returns

Tennis school is back in full swing and currently, the majority of our groups are being very well attended.

Dementia-Inclusive Tennis – More Sessions Added

Our dementia-inclusive tennis sessions have been a great success, and we’re delighted that the fun can continue.

Although the original funding from Dementia Adventure for six sessions has now come to an end, Herts Tennis has generously funded a further three sessions.

The sessions (pictured above and below) are free to join and are a welcoming opportunity to enjoy tennis, movement and social time in an inclusive environment.

To book your place, please email: coaching@rltsc.co.uk

We look forward to welcoming you on court!

JUNIOR SQUASH UPDATE:

The new season is well underway, with a busy September for Radlett's junior players. Regular junior sessions take place on Sunday afternoons with U12s 2.30-3.30pm and over-12s 3.30-5pm.

The junior club is always keen to welcome new players, even if they haven't played before, and further details can be obtained by contacting Julian Craxton on 07711 748557.

On September 13 we held the first Charity Graded tournament of the season, attracting 47 players who between them raised £180 for Cardiac Risk in the Young. Congratulations to group winners: Samuel H, Shiv, Kaiyan S, Anira, Saarav, Edwin W, Bobbi and Justin L, as well as runners-up Lili P, Imogen W, Lucie G, Luke H, Jacob H and Rafa P.

Radlett hosted the Herts Junior U9/11 County Championships on September 19, with 11 of our juniors taking part out of a field of 25 players. It was a most successful afternoon as Radlett players picked up three out of four titles.

Lucie G (U9 Girls), Muska (U11 Girls) and Edwin W (U11 Boys). Asher P and Lili P came third in the U9 Boys and U11 Girls and there were Plate wins for Shiv and Kieran plus Filippos and Finley J (Plate runners-up).

On September 26-27the Herts County Championships for the older age groups (U13-19) were held at Berkhamsted, with 56 entries including 10 from Radlett:

U13 Boys: Henry Y played fantastic squash in beating the number one seed to reach the final but had to settle for the runner-up trophy after a narrow 2-3 loss.

Jacob H finished third, with Samuel H and Edwin W reaching the quarter-finals.

U13 Girls: following up on her U11 win the week before, Muska finished runner-up.
