Well Done, Rocco!
Huge well done to Rocco, who took part in his very first ITF tournament. He won his first match and before bowing out in the next round to the second seed - a great experience for our home-grown talent, and many more opportunities will come his way!
RLTSC Open Day
We are looking forward to hosting our first Open Day for a number of years on April 25, to showcase what this wonderful club is all about. We would love to have some of our fantastic members to volunteer some time on the day to help out.
If you would be interested in helping, please speak to the office.
Brain Tumour Charity Tournament
We had a fantastic day on March 27, raising money for a wonderful cause. The tournament was wonderfully attended by so many of you and we can only thank you for your support. Huge well done to all of you who took part, and especially our runners-up David and Danine and our winners, Danny and Noy (pictured above).

Every year around 12,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour. In 2024, my 25-year-old daughter Abi became one of them. While recovering from the five-hour surgery at the National Neurology and Neurosurgery Hospital, she decided to do some research around tumours. She discovered that very little money goes into research in this area. This is largely left to charities like the Brain Tumour Charity who work tirelessly to make treatments and therapies more accessible to those affected.
Thankfully, Abi has recovered completely and she is now raising money to help others who are affected. In April, Abi and her sister Jess will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity.
Since March was Brain Tumour awareness month, we decided this was a perfect time to help them raise money by hosting a tennis tournament at the club. We were blown away by the support from members: on Friday, March 27 more than 50 people arrived to play and enjoy the day.
Chris and Laura got the day started and off we went with nine courts occupied with members of all standards mixed up and people having a great time. Hot cross buns were available and local vocalist Jess Flower provided live music. Tennis flowed and the rain stayed away.
Lunch was magnificent and was all kindly donated. Thank you’s must go to Kat of Thai Cuisine, Fress Deli, Vimi’s and several members who made sandwiches and cakes.
The raffle was fabulous with prizes generously provided by local businesses, members and coaches: Pedicure from Claudia Cohen, Massage from Spinelab, a voucher from Tennis Nuts, cakes from Gail’s, tennis balls by Skill, a voucher from Le Nails Studio, a great pair of sunglasses from Grant & Glass, a racquet restring, and self-defence lessons from Dynamic Self Defence Academy.
The event raised over £500 and represents everything the club stands for – community, sport and doing something good for society.

Dementia Adventure is delighted to be holding this training for tennis coaches and volunteers at Radlett Tennis Club, and also has funding to support Radlett Tennis Club and other attendees’ clubs to be inspired and run, thereafter, some dementia-friendly tennis sessions for local residents.
Get involved! Volunteer if you would like to help - speak to Jo R or Danine.
