Annual Club Tournament

Annual Grade 3 Tournament
The Club is hosting the Annual Grade 3 Tennis Tournament from Sunday 2nd to Saturday 8th August.
This tournament has proved very successful over the past few years, but we need the continued support from our members to assist during the week. We are looking for 4 catering volunteers per day on a rota to help make toasties and coffee/tea from 11.45am to 4pm. Plus 2 on-court supervisors on a rota system on Sunday 2nd and Saturday 8th August between 10am-4pm. Support will be provided by qualified tournament referees each day.
If you are available to help, please add your name in the time slot on the schedule outside the kitchen in the clubhouse. Your assistance is greatly appreciated to make this event a great success for the club.
Summer Camps
Our ever-popular Summer camps are now available to book online - please visit the club website to book on as spaces will fill up fast!
Dementia Tennis Sessions
We are looking forwards to some dementia tennis sessions, starting over the next couple of weeks. This is a great initiative that we are very proud to be a part of and hope to make this a regular session at the club.
Youth Tennis Socials
Our youth social that has been set up at the club has been a great success so far, with plenty of players coming down to the club over the last few weeks! Running on Sunday evenings at the club, if you know of anyone interested in coming down, please mention the youth tennis socials to them.
RLTSC to host Israel Tennis Academy
RLTSC is hosting a group of children from an Israel Tennis Academy over the coming
weeks. They will join into our performance sessions, as well as some training hits. Please feel free to come and say hello to make them feel as welcome as possible.

Team Tennis – Captaincy Roles Available
Dear Members,
As we look ahead to next season, we urgently need members to step forward and take on tennis team captain roles.
Without captains in place, it is unlikely that we will be able to enter teams into the leagues we would normally participate in. With several changes expected at the end of this season, there may be a number of captain vacancies to fill.
We would therefore ask all current team players to seriously consider volunteering for a captaincy position. Captains play a vital role in ensuring our teams can continue to compete and represent the club.
If you would like to find out more about what is involved, or are interested in putting yourself forward, please get in touch.
Thank you for your support.

June Squash Update: National Success & Club Championships
What an incredible month it has been at the club! The energy on and off the courts has been fantastic, and we are thrilled to share some of our major highlights from June.
Radlett Open '26: A Smashing Success!
The Radlett Open was a massive hit this year. We hosted a full-capacity event and the club was absolutely buzzing all weekend. A huge congratulations to everyone from the club who competed — your hard work paid off, and we brought home some fantastic silverware!
Special thanks: A massive shoutout to Otis Foster for his invaluable help in running the tournament. Events like this don't happen without a team, and his support was absolutely essential. Thank you, Otis!
Looking Ahead: We are already brainstorming ways to tweak the structure for next year to make the event even bigger and better. Stay tuned for updates!
Velocity Junior Programme Thriving
Our junior development is going from strength to strength! Our Thursday sessions are currently at full capacity, which is a testament to the amazing growth of our young players.
Want to join? If you’d like your child to get involved in the Velocity programme, please contact Head Coach Lee directly to check for upcoming availability.
Recent Event Winners
We had some fierce competition this month, especially battling through the summer heat!
Speed Squash: Congratulations to the Blue Team, who took home the victory this month after an outstanding performance from all players in 30+ degree heat!
Handicap Tournament: A huge congratulations to David Migdal, who put on an absolutely stellar performance on the night to claim the title.
Sundays & Socials: High Demand!
The buzz around the club is at an all-time high. Every single social event this month has been fully booked, and demand for our Sunday Training sessions is through the roof. It is fantastic to see the standard of play on Sundays reaching brand-new heights!
Important Reminder: Sunday slots are strictly first-come, first-served. To secure your spot and avoid disappointment, DM Coach Lee ASAP!
SOCIAL UPDATE:
Hoping everyone is managing the heat. This year we shall be opening the club bar and showing both the Ladies and the Men's Finals - where we shall be serving Pimms and lemonade to get into the Wimbledon spirit, especially for those less fortunate and who could not secure tickets.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this edition of RLTSC News and we look forward to bringing you further updates from within and around the Club in another round-up soon.
