TENNIS UPDATE:
Term-time Programme Resuming September 7
Summer camps have come to an end and our term-time programme is due to restart from September 7. If you haven’t yet booked on for group sessions, there’s still time to do so! You can book via the club website.
If you have any queries regarding which group is correct for you, please feel free to speak with Chris and he will direct you to the right session.
Annual Grade 3 Tournament review
August saw the Annual Grade 3 Tournament held at Radlett - in what was a great week of tennis.
We witnessed some success in several events - a huge congratulations go to the following Radlett players:
Reuben Needlestone - 8U Winner
Rocco Yanover & Leo Nash - 18U Boys' Doubles Winners
Chris & Dina - Mixed Doubles Winners
A huge thanks also goes out to all members who volunteered their time during the event and help make it such a great success!
Hertfordshire County Closed Event
We have also had some of our performance players taking part in the Hertfordshire County Closed Event this week at Rickmansworth Tennis Club.
Well done to Ben Mihu, who finished runner-up in the 11u Boys Singles. A fantastic achievement from this young star!
Reuben Needlestone has continued his good form finishing fourth in the 8U Boys Singles event.
Leo Nash also continued his fantastic summer form, putting in some brilliant performances to reach the final of both the 18U singles and doubles competitions. Leo won the Singles event and finished runner-up in the doubles, partnering fellow Radlett player Will Potts - a great run for both players!
Team Tennis Update:
The summer matches are almost over - just a few matches left to play before the season comes to an end.
Final standings will be revealed in due course.
We take this opportunity to thank all those members who have volunteered their time to captain a team this season. It’s no easy task juggling work, family and other personal commitments to plan matches, source players, share players, rearrange matches, organise refreshments, host the game, enter scores and more - if you’re a player, please don’t take it for granted!

The club is partnering with Dementia Adventure and hosting four fully funded dementia-inclusive tennis sessions starting in September.
The first session (photos of which are above and below) was held earlier in the summer and proved a huge success. The up-and-coming course is now full but a wait-list is open. https://dementiaadventure.org/green-letter-days/dementia-inclusive-tennis/
